THE BRIEF HISTORY OF THE INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION COMPANY

In 2009, Indesit and Hotpoint Ariston's products were represented and sold in Hungary by the Hungarian subsidiary of Indesit Company. As a result of the ineffectiveness due to the effects of the economic crisis, Indesit decided to transform its market presence by staying in the market with the involvement of an external distributor partner. We issued a tender for this, which our parent company Selex-M Kft won. Part of the agreement was to create a separate legal entity that would perform this task and work exclusively with the Indesit and Hotpoint brands. Indesit handed over its commercial and partnership agreements on the international stage even though it was successful in paying international bonuses after the Hungarian turnover.

The distributor activity had to be built up in several stages. Indesit Company Hungary Kft remained responsible for service, warranty compliance, marketing activities and invoicing to the distributor. Our task, in several stages, was to take over the domestic logistics as well as the commercial activity, to restructure, to organize the international transport, and later to take over the exchange rate risk (we switched to paying in euros).

All our activities served the purpose of delivering Indesit / Hotpoint domestic machines from the factory to the end-user.

In 2015, from our point of view, Whirlpool Corporation, unfortunately, bought the Indesit Company. Thus, in Hungary, its own distributor model was classified as a "foreign system". Consequently, from 2016, we continued cooperating under a new contract. The essence of this is to organize the tasks of logistics as well as the territorial representation of products that are newly and directly sold by Indesit CO Hungary. As an intermediary service, we continued the task with our contracted partners. (Waberer's Szemerey Trans Kft, Waberer's International Zrt, LKW Walter, Raben, DHL, CH Robinson, Euro Log)

The model worked well, and since we have been working in this market for a long time, we are well acquainted with the issues and problems our partners face. We were looking for further partners and tried to take over and organize their logistics activities. This project was successful due to which in 2017 we managed to take over Media Markt's central warehousing operations. We help optimize Media Markt's internal processes and ar preparing for the merging of the 22 stores and the Online Store. We closed our successful cooperation in the fall of 2019.

In 2019, we started to develop our logistics management service, in the framework of which we reviewed the company's processes, selected the appropriate company management system for them, and prepared its implementation all based on the agreement concluded with Szemerei Plusz Kft. Simultaneously, we started operating our own warehouse.

We are currently involved in the complete logistics activities of Selex-M, within which we connect the logistics systems of suppliers, customers, and various logistics providers. We also participate in the examination of the efficiency of the processes as well as operate their web store.
